Is muscle milk out of the question during cutting, should I switch over to another type of protien, with less calories and fat? Interested in all opinions, thanks Speed.

cutting, all I use is Skim Milk, and thats for my protein shakes and oatmeal.
you could use it as a pro/fat meal... if i remember right it has a ton of fat in it. some people use it while cutting. i avoided it, but damn that shit tastes good.
yes I remember hearing it had a lot of fat...but it was supposed to be good fat maybe? I dont know Ive never tried it...Originally Posted by hawktribal

Personally I try to avoid shakes while cutting because it doesnt really help with hunger as much as whole food...plus it can be tempting to rely more on them instead of the nasty cutting food rofl...
Cookies and cream. mmmm mmmm
take in a good quality whey protein like Dymatize or Optimum Nutrition with water... if you're cutting...you're cutting and they all suck...Originally Posted by speedtraining

the fats in muscle milk are NOT EFAs. they are MCT saturated fats:Originally Posted by number twelve
(i did not write this):
Medium chain triglycerides (MCT) fats are saturated fats that are very useful on low carb, or ketogenic, diets since MCT's are more quickly converted to ketones than other fats. MCT oil does not need bile to emulsify them like other dietary fats, so the fat is available to the blood stream to be used as energy more quickly. This can improve your energy levels when you experience low blood glucose levels from lack of carbohydrates. MCT's do not affect insulin sensitivity as other saturated fats do.

i just got some muscle milk and i love the stuff....am on a cutter my self i just have it during the day....
if you want to use muscle milk just use one scoop at a time and not a traditional serving size, that sounds liek a reasonable thing to do...
Yea Muscle Milk, imo, is not the best choice for a cutting protein source...but if you can afford the fat and calories go ahead...im an endo-meso though
Muscle Milk is high in both carbs and fats. Carbs and fats should not be combined in the same meal when cutting as they have a synergistic effect on the creation of bodyfat.
