I personally like to eat bananas first thing in the morning with my oats (or some carb source) during a bulk. That way you know you will burn the sugar as an energy source.

I've also read bros eating bananas prior to workout as a good energy source.

Now that I'm cutting I won't be eating them at all (although a serving of fruit a day while cutting wouldn't be detrimental).

As always, depends on your goals.

I eat a banana after my workout. I have some strawberry whey, mix that with the banana, and a little skim milk. Might tasty shake.

    Eat it in the AM

    Some banana facts:

Banana are very low in saturated Fat, cholesterol and sodium. They also provides fiber, vitamin c, potassium and manganese, vitamin B6.

Alot of the calories in banana's however are sugar based, therefore eat it in the AM so your body has time to get rid of the junk

I was thinking the am, too. Heard it's not a good idea to eat them pwo, cuz you'll just crap out all the fiber

I was listening to a fitness guru the other day on the radio who has done lots of studies with arginine and it's benefits. She was speaking about bananas and said that they are HORRIBLE first thing in the morning as there is something in them that opens your fat cells for storage. Could someone shed some light on this???

yeah they do have fiber, but they are sugar based too and there isn't any harm eating them PWO with a shake.
