    anyone use ketostrips when dieting ?

    anyone use keto strips to help figuer out how your body responds to carbs during dieting ??? i beleive Jhon Beardi wrote an essay on this i will try to find the link

    Sorry bro, never used em. But I thought the information came on the packs as to what the colors meant. I believe you need to be under 25-50g carbs to go keto, so unless you're going extremely low on carbs, I don't think you'd need to worry about it.

    well the thing is i just dont want my body to use protein for energy, muscle tirnover is a bag thing, just trying to figuer out how my body reacts to carbs im not trying to go keto

    Unless your trying to achieve Keto the strips wont help. Are you trying to check you glucose levels or Insulin Sensetivity? Urine testing strips can detect the presence of ketones in urine.

    For blood glucose monitoring, blood testing is definitely superior, since urine can only tell you what your blood glucose levels were a few hours ago, while blood tests report current levels.

    However, when it comes to ketones -- a byproduct of lipid fat and protein metabolism -- urine testing is best.

    if the color changes at all, you are in some form of ketosis.

    I used them when i start the diet then a pertty much know from the feeling that i am in ketosis or not.

    You need to test around 6pm at night, even if you are in trace means you are in ketosis and your body is burning fat for fuel.
