Favorite high carb/ low fat meal.
This saturday I'm having a break/ carb up day. Just looking for some good idea's as to what you guys like to eat on carb up days. Pancakes are my favorite, but wanted everyone's choices. I'm going to make a list, so make it good.
So let's hear it. Hold nothing back.

hmmm are you woried about sugars or high gi at all?
I was looking in the cuboards the other day and saw some 100% bran for like bran muffins..wondering how this and some egg whites would make some pancakes to make them a lil more decent w/ some low cal or sugar free syrup.
Im a big fan of WW pasta, and WW tuna raps.

I either do wheat pancakes or oat pancakes (1/2 cup oats, 8 egg whites, 1/4 tsp vanilla extract, cinnamon). I'm not too concerned with GI level, it is still a bit of a break day. Bran muffins sound good.
As for the sweet potatoes, I eat them everyday so I might leave that one out
Still looking for more......

Yeah, Aunt Jemima. Definately not part of my regular diet. But on break days, I'll make it with out the egg yolks, no oil, and add in a little whey for flavor. Then some strawberries and s/f syrup on top. Or, the better route, is s/f syrup and chocolate protein pudding. OMG, tastes like cake. mmmmmmmmmmmmm
More suggestions. What kind of oat/granola bars you guys go after that's low fat?

I'll be eat some s/f f/f icecream with some healthy chocolate cake (outlined by pinkvelvet in the recipe section with some minor changes. I can't do the real icecream though. Just feels too guilty.
Pasta definately sounds real good. Maybe make some type of cookie. I don't know. Still looking for more ideas from anyone.

when do I need a really high carb day? I was cutting for a while but then hopped on phera plex, so I am now eating about 300 carbs a day instead of 150 when cutting. I haven't had a really high carb day in about 2 months. also, at the food store earlier I was looking at a box of WW pancake batter, it says to add milk, egg and oil....can I do without the milk, use flax instead of regular oil, and 2 egg whites instead of one whole egg???

You probably don't need a carb up day if you're going 300g carbs a day. I've been 100-160g the last 4-5 weeks, and am needing a carb refeed. But, like I said, it's more of just a semi-healthy break day with little fat and high carbs.
As for the WW pancakes, I use 2 egg whites. I would think you'd have to use at least skim milk to resemble a real pancake though. Also, I'll throw in about 1/2 tsp olive oil so it cooks better. Don't use flax, it'll taste like crap and kill all the EFA's anyway. Might as well use olive oil.

ok thanks man....i just made some mashed sweet potatos that bigsd67 mentioned, and damn...GOOD stuff...I found sugar free syrup at the store with 5 carbs per serving, and picked up that smart balance light butter, 5 grams fat per tablespoon, and it even has efa's in it. I am going to eat alot more of that! with all those ingredients thrown in the sweet potatos are still considered a clean meal...friggin great

I have a weakness for banan protein shakes
half a lite of milk
one banana
70 grams of unflavored whey protein
2-3 teaspoons of coca
sweetener or sugar
A little taste of heaven.
Pasta with meatsauce sure is good aswell but I dont use low fat meat in that
