    carbs

i am not sure if i am on the right forum but moderators, feel free to move it if it's wrong cuz i can't find the right forum. but anyway, when counting carbs, do you count sugar alcohols? because when you see one of those protein bars it says 3 grams impact carbs and it has like 20grams carbs total with like 17grams sugar alcohol.

Yes, everything but the carbs from fibrous veggies should be counted.

I don't count 'em as 'carbs'.. because technically they are not...as they have negligible effects on blood sugar.

I do however include them in my total calories count.

Overall i avoid them tho... imo, ingestion of them should be kept to a minimum.

    I don't see a place for them in the diet of a health-conscious ( and non-diabetic) individual.

Doesn't matter to me... i eat whatever is cheap.. All of em (green; or white cruciferous veggies) are low fat low carb: spinach; brocolli; cabbage; cauliflower etc. Sometimes adding the not so low-cal ones into the mix for colour/taste/and additional microntruients (carrots; squash etc.)
