well it was an experience. I actually saw a live turtle have its throat cut in the middle of the same restaurant, they bled it into shot glasses and added Vodka and all at the table made a toast and drank the lot. Now that was gross

I got tricked into eating the fish sauce in Vietnam (a few years ago). I asked a buddy to pass the dish of what was basically a hot sauce at a restraunt in DaNang... then I scooped some up and ate what seemed like a million fish in one bite - it was disgusting. He had switched the dishes on me! We kept trying to trick each other into eating it - he got me. Then I found out how they make that sh!t... which was even more disgusting...

in china i had snake. They killed it right in front of us and drained the blood into snake wine, giving it to us to drink. They also cut out the gall bladder before cooking and gave us it in more snake wine.

Back when I was in Mexico, my friends pranked me and I ended up eating boiled bull nuts, then we took "tequilla" shots. I put the quotes cuz it wasnt all tequilla, lol, try...tequilla mixed with bull sperm.

lol there's the extra protein man!! i have not eaten anything crazy except for the balut eggs. it's hard to explain how they make em but when you crack it open, there's liquid a dead chicken with head and some yellow nasty stuff but i liked it it was salty lol.

Seriously, I've eaten a lot of sick things. My dad's family is from Louisiana(50 miles south of New Orleans in bayou country), so you never no exactly what's in the pot cooking on the stove. Frogs, squirrel, possum, etc. I just recently ate Nutria, big swamp rats, durring my last visit/hunting trip.

Dont know if I would call it gross, more exotic then anything else...lived in Papua New Guinea for 2 years had shark, alligator, spiders,whole pig cooked in a pit in the ground....good stuff really, spiders take some gettin used to but they were actually pretty good the heat from the pan just burnt the hair and legs off

the pig in the pit sounds delicious. i cook that like every christmas eve; and people eat sharks and gators in the south as well. as for the spiders, well........... only on fear factor.

I ate at Taco Bell once. I am still ashamed and disgusted.

I went to a peruvian resturant with a guy that was a native and he ordered all kind of stuff but did not tell me what it was.. I are it as not to insult the host, which is the right thing to do.. anyway it was sooo good.. Once while staying at a friends house in Japan, my friends father pulled a live octopus from an aquarium and threw it at the wall. When he picked it up he cut off two hot dog sized legs off. It was still alive and he simply rinsed it off under the sink and handed me one. He started eating his leg, so I did the same. The little suction cups on the legs still worked. Although I was trying to swallow the thing, it would attach to the back of my throat and I would have to peel it off and try to kill it again by chewing frantically. The little suction cups have a cartilage ring which gets stuck between your teeth like bacon. It was F#ucking gross. I ate it though!
