    Yellow Rice

I eat about 1 cup of yellow rice with my chicken breat at luch time (12:30-1:30) If I am trying to cut fat is this extremely bad for me or is it ok if it is my only source of carbs? If it is bad can i eat a sweet potato (of course dry) instead of the rice ?

MY BAD, It is regular rice with yellow coloring. They serve it here down south in most spanish restaurants, in a place called tropical chicken (pollo tropical) and in chicken kitchen or chicken grill.

well if its just regular rice and the coloring contain no nutrients its a ok protein carb meal. brown rice or sweet potatoe is better though

Yellow rice is spanish rice that has saffron added for coloring. Its just rice.

I saw on a glycemic chart that parboiled rice is supposed to be lower glycemic than regular white rice.I went and purchased 10 minute parboiled rice yesterday.I only cooked for 4 minutes as I read that it will be even lower GI.Well it dropped my blood sugar way low so thats out of my diet.Anyone have experiecne with say minute rice that actually is listed as low GI??

yellow rice is white rice with a flavoring that adds the yellow color - very common in spanish dishes...

when i read your post, i knoew you were talking about chicken kitchen and chicken grill

chicken grill should have brown rice as an option - go with that

id stay away from yellow rice if your trying to truly cut...my 0.02
