    Dextrose/Maltodextrin question

I was wondering isnt it bad to intake too much sugar everyday... couldn't it lead to diabetes... but i was thinking about including Maltodextrin with my PWO (Ons Whey). i was looking into Carbo gain... (Maltodextrin).

Here is my theory. If you ate sugar meals all day long than yes.You get insulin resistance and you overtax your pancreas. If you do a few meals of sugar then your chances are lessened. If you only use sugar PWO then its probably nil especially if you eat pro/fat meals to give the system a break.

Remember also that pasta/rice/fruits all turn into glucose so be easy on them too.

it won't be an issue especially if your only high GI meal is PWO. that is what 4-5 days a week or so...you'll be fine.

I use CarboGain for my PWO carbs. I think it works well.

I don't know of anyone who uses dextrose daily anyhow, as no one I know trains 7 days a week.

Yes, oatmeal will work. However, PWO you would ideally want to consume carbs that are going to be absorbed quickly after ingestion. The average person's muscles are going to stop soaking up nutrients in the blood approx 15-20 minutes after your workout. This is why dextrose/maltodextrin powder is your best bet.

Not in my eyes, no, but you'll see this debated more than Roe vs. Wade.
