    cardio and bulking?

i was just wondering if i ran in the morning b4 i eat, wont that b ok if im bulking because it wont burn the calories ive eaten all day? wont it just burn the fat on my body? if i took 10-20gs of protein b4 my cardio to inhibit catabolism.

im trying to bulk as much as possible and i dont want to burn the calories that ive stuffed my face with all day. does this question totally contradict itself?

anyways any advice on how to maybe lose some belly fat while bulking would be appreciated

Running before you eat I hope you mean "light cardio at a 60-70% max HR" before you eat. Also, any type of meal before cardio is...... for the lack of a better word...... dumb. You're wasting time to burn the protein you just consumed.

If you have a problem with this apparent 'belly fat', then perhapse you need to cut more before deciding to bulk. Light a.m. cardio should be included in bulking as well as cutting. But don't rely on it to noticably shred bf. If that was the case, no one would ever need to cut.

Do cardio after waking on an empty tank.

Actually, protein can be cleaved and somewhat converted to glucose and used by your body for fuel which would defeat the point of doing cardio in the first place shutting down mobilization of fat. Drink your shake immediately after you finish w/ cardio.

If you are a hardgainer, you may not need to do cardio at all if you are finding you cannot gain the weight. While that is not a contradiction, trying to lose fat while bulking is (unless on a cycle). This can be accomplished but it is MUCH easier to do one or the other, not both simultaneously. And proper diet/cardio is the method for leaning out the abdominals.

If you're trying to add muscle, check the bulking sticky at the top of this forum and hit the weights hard. You'll have to deal with the excess around the abdominals.

If you're trying to lean out and get those damn things to show, hit up the cutting sticky and the AM cardio.

Cardio in the morning will burn fat, yes. I assume you are bulking? Keep it to 3x/week @ 30 minutes. If you're worried about it getting in the way of your calorie intake, moderate one of the other. Either drop a cardio session or up your calories.

Either way, you'll have to try it for a couple weeks and see what happens. It will all depend on how your body reacts. Adjust, accordingly.
