really either one, just pick onw and stick to it till you reach your goals bruh,
Where are you at now? Height/weight/bf% that helps in determining which would come first
right now im 5'10 188lb bot completely sure about bf% havnt had it done in a few year but prob about 15%. Im built pretty nicely with big chest arms...and doesnt look like a got a big gut or anything...I know i want to cut up but also get bigger...i always want to be bigger...I wouldnt really complain where im at now but theres always better
Well it sounds like you are already pretty happy with what size you have so I'd cut down for summer and see what's underneath!
are you serious dude?
about wut
I had the same question a few months ago and am happy with my decision to cut. Cut up and see what is underneath, then decide if you are happy with your lean body then, or if you want to put more muscle on.
Good luck
Bryan
if you don't have a gut, and are comfortable with your current bf%, then my vote is to bulk. just keep it clean.
so if you have a gut, you should always cut?
IMO, yes. You don't need washboard abs, but you should at least have a flat stomach. My goals may be different than yours, but I don't see a reason in anyone ever going above 15% BF. Lee Priest is the ONLY exception.Originally Posted by tvd220

If you have a gut, you better cut of course unless you're some freaky huge cartoon bb'er with muscles all over and a gut.
Gut and bulking are oxymorons.

I tell people I occasionally train the same thing I'm about to tell you, how is somebody supposed to cut muscles that arent there? You see where I'm going with this, you need to build it up first in order to cut it
cut what if you don t bulk first...
I don't understand how people are judging his level of musculature w/out any pictures.
