What are you goals? If you are cutting, no milk whatsoever.

Some people like to include (skimmed) milk in their PWO but milk exclusively...I don't think it's a great idea.

For one, milk contains lactose sugar which is cleaved by lactase into galactose and glucose. Glucose will replenish muscle glycogen stores, but galactose will not (only liver glycogen).

Better off going w/ some good ole whey and dex/maltodex.

I wouldn't use it exclusively, but maybe with your PPWO meal. I just recenetly began drinking skim again (2 weeks ago) and haven't noticed any negative.

if you really want some try to hood carb countdown skim milk. I love that stuff and there's only 3g sugar per serving.

This is a common misconception, as is the argument against Fructose.

Galactose as well as Fructose can and will be converted to glucose. It is metbolized in the liver yes, and will replenish liver glycogen (which is not a bad thing) and then will be converted glucose. Show me evidence that galactose cannot convert to glucose.

That is all aside from the fact that glycogen replenishment in now way correlates with muscle growth. You show me how and where it does and I'll eat crow.

I'd recommend experimenting with diff. pwo protocols and find what's best for you. I've found dextrose and blunting cortisol quickly and beginning the glycogen replinishment process is key to setting the stage for muscular recovery. That's why pwo carbs are usually 2 to 1 ratio wise over protein, as glycogen replinishment is first on the agenda to set the recovery stage.

It works for "me". No other methods come close for "me". My clients use my methods because they pay me for my expertise, and you can see how very well they do, just look at my Wall of Fame and forums.

Again, find what works for you.
