    carbs precardio

dexter jacksons trainer, joe mcneal, said at his semonar that ingesting a few simple carbs along with bcaas precardio burns more fat cumulatively in the 4 hours post cardio. what do you guys think about this?

Taking carbs pre-cardio is like trying to cut on an all-Mcdonalds diet....stupid idea. It's like pissin in the wind dude, mine as well not even get on the treadmill IMO

seems pointless to me. You burn those glycogen stores before even beginning to burn fat

i think he believes this because eating the simple carbs may increase metabolism even more than bcaas alone, leading to a greater fat burning effect in the several hours following cardio. the cals burned during cardio are not what joe mcneal was mainly concerned with. Ive also heard gunter claim this same exact thing.

well your body has an increased expenditure, but it isn't fat expenditure, its from your diet. and fat burning after low-moderate cardio is little no none after the actual exercise is complete.

Go ahead and do it, I for damn sure never would.

As well, lipolysis continues for quite a long time after 65-75% MHR cardio, dependent upon WHAT you eat after and when.

Again, just find what works for you, I know I do.

anyway, can expand on this? in regards to lipolysis continuing. if this were that easy you could just get ready for work and all of your activities would help burn more fat. but is there a point in which cortisol will blunt fat loss?, or your body will start tapping into other fuel stores (mainly speaking, muscle)? just curious as to what would complicate this process if you could add any additional thoughts. thanks man.

in one of Ronnie coleman video "the Unbelievable" He's eating his breakfast then doing cardio. I'm not sure how long he waited after breakfast. Then He hits cardio again, at the end day, from 12:00-1:00AM.

yes but we are not coleman. I'd say stay clear of carbs pre-cardio but having some complex carbs post would be ok..
Also like SC to elaborate on his last statement. thanks bro

Just research post-cardio lipolysis if you are interested.

You can google that and find tons of info.

The way that I understand it is that post-cardio your body remains in a fat burning state. So Its my belief that cho post cardio (even as so much as 3 grams worth) will shut this process down.

I usually do cardio in a.m. on empty stomach. once that is complete I take in 50 grams pro w/ no carbs. I usally wait at least an hour after that to start replinishing my Glycogen stores.

Please let me know if im totally off my rocker

You may want to turn off your caps, it won't let you yell on here but will capitalize the first letter of every word.

As well, your statement makes no sense.
