    pre workout meal

i'm trying to come up with a cutting diet. from what ive read, the bulk of your carbs should be at breakfast and pwo. so what would be best to eat for my preworkout meal??

from what i've been reading, thats a highly debated issue. some say malto/dext combo and some say low gi carbs like a yam or baked potato.

Meh...I like carbs throughout the day. Just dont go crazy and have 4 sweet potatoes at one time. I agree with what Tai said...carbs pre workout are a must.

brown rice is not a high gi food and when combined with a protein source the gi is lowered to around 18. thats like saying peanuts are high gi.

i am oblivious to any tone when its written in text. thats the main reason i dont im or email. i really am completely unaware of anything implied online.

also, this guy mackiavelli on elite who is in crazy condition said brown rice would bloat and smooth him out. dudes ridiculously shredded so i figured other people may have this issue too. his diet was interesting, definately knows his stuff. so that also lead to my misunderstanding.

but chicken without rice is like a pizza without cheese

Got to love potatoes though. A few potatoes and a big nice steak.

Daddy just about any carb with any lean protein source will work. Wont make a noticable difference if its potatoes, rice, pasta, whole grain bread, milk, fruits ect.

i feel like dirt if i get too far into gluten, like that in breads. and rice, like i said makes me feel liek crap. but in reference to GI i agree with you totally. when you consume a good deal of protein...people take the GI thing way too far. but it does matter, just not so much with those foods you listed.
