    Gurus Please Help!!!

ok...here goes. My ignorance has kept me from eating/training right pretty much since i started working out a few years ago. But i've been researching the past few months, and thank God for this site.

So after getting a pretty good workout routine going, i decided to try and get a good diet to match. I'm 6' 5" at 235 lbs. I'm trying to lean out and drop my spare tire before i start bulking. I plan to lose 20 lbs. and here is my diet to do so. Please let me know if i've screwed up somehow.

    3:45 am
    Cardio

    4:45 am
8 egg whites, 2 yolks, 1 can tuna, 2 tbsp flax seeds
    495 cal. 78.6g pro. 7g carb. 16.5g fat

    7:00 am
salad mixed with 3/4 cup of canned salmon
    270 cal. 36g pro. 0g carb. 15g fat

    9:00 am
salad mixed with 1 pouch marinated tuna and 2 tbsp flax seeds
    250 cal. 34.5g pro. 8g carb. 12.5g fat

    12:30 pm
200g of boiled chicken breast, 1 cucumber w/ italian dressing
    342 cal. 58g pro. 3g carb. 9g fat

    4:15 pm
150g broiled tilapia fillets, 200g boiled white potatoes
    366 cal. 43g pro. 40g carb. 4.5g fat

    6:30-8:00 workout

    8:15 pm
1.5 scoops whey, 1 cup oatmeal
    465 cal. 40g pro. 57g carb. 9g fat

    BEDTIME!!!

***i didn't figure in the macros for the salads or cucumber

    totals: 2188 calories 290g protein 115g carbs 66.5g fat

please critique fellas and let me know where i need to throw in some aminos, vitamins, etc....not real sure about that part.

Cals seem a little low to start off with. This time around with cutting..I like to tweak with my cardio moreso than my diet. I like to keep my cals about 500 under maintenance..maybe a little more..and just increase cardio as I go along. It has worked very well. I personally think your carbs are too low. I like to have pro/carb meals throughout the day. I feel it aids better with metabolism..energy levels..and mood in general. I also like the idea of a solid ppwo meal. It is fine to end with a ppwo meal. Other than that seems fine..

how much time would i have to space between the pwo and the ppwo??

just curious cause sleeptime is so precious when you have to get up at 3:30.

Yeah, I noticed that. I usually have my PPWO meal 1 hour after my shake. And by one hour, I mean it is down at the one hour mark. 45mins-1 hour for the most part.

in your position. i would have a solid PWO meal, take 3g of vitamin C, and hit the sack. i'd have a shake made up that i could consume throughout the night IF i woke up, if not, no biggie.

Agreed. Sounds good. Solid PWO meal sounds like a good option. I do that after long PWO cardio sessions and when I cut back carbs...works well
