Sick of egg whites? TRY THIS!

Ok if you are like me, stomaching 10 or more egg whites every morning plus a few whole eggs is near impossible. I have tried many things and still require about 2L of water to wash it down. Put it in my mouth, chew, drink some water, chew and finally swallow. Not fun.

Anyways was reading through a fitness magazine and found this new recipe of which I tried this morning. Prepare to enjoy egg whites.

I will list out my meal but of course you can adapt to suit your personal nutritional requirements.

    Required:
    10 egg whites
    3 whole eggs
    2 packs Quaker natural oatmeal
    Milk (perferrably skim)
    Cinnamon
    1 banana
    I large microwaveable dish

    Steps:

    1) Combine eggs with egg whites and a splash of milk in dish.
    2) Mix all of them together until a nice consistency is reached.
    3) Add in cinnamon (sprinkle on top...do not get over zealous here guys)
    4) Microwave for 3-4 mins
    5) Remove from micrwave and mix all around as it will have hardened so you need to break it up.
    6) Dice up banana to cover the whole top of the dish (like a casserole and the banana slices are the top layer)
    7) Add splenda if you like (I dont personally)
    8) Enjoy you philthy bastards.

*NOTE* Yes this should probably be in the recipes section, if an admin wants to duplicate it and post one there as well I am happy, but would prefer that one copy be here as it will get much more hits.

I will try to put some more recipes up as I feel it is important that people really get into good diets and recipes can really help keep you on track.

Ya bro I think everyone does. Thats why I felt I needed to help some people deal with it.

Also tuna is the same for me, I do not eat it anymore AT ALL. Only tilapia/salmon now.

Cant stomach eggs?! I love my morning meal, you guys just gotta wake up 5 minutes earlier to make it enjoybale. Try dicing up some tomatoes, mushrooms and onions and mix it with ur 6 whites and 1 whole in a nice big omelette.....Like IHOP? Remember putting syrup all over that big breakfast...top ur omelette with a bit of sugar freee syrup...MmMmm

I was wondering the same thing! The directions do not say anything about when to add the oats.

    ...

maybe a dumb question but for the egg whites are you using actual eggs or using the egg whites that come in a milk style carton?,and which would be better for me in general?

Sorry guys I guess I forgot to write that step out. Add the oats before you put it in the microwave and then put the cinnamon on top of all of it and mix it around again before you put it in to cook.
Also I use the packets of natural oats, this is about 42g carbs, 8g protein. With a medium banana added you are gettin around 60g carbs total and about 60g protein. This is my requirements anyways, so adjust as you see fit.

I still do. But why not mix it up once in a while? I usually do the omelet thing with green peppers, onion, mushrooms, and tomato.

At this point I look at eggwhites as a treat in my diet.. I can't wait until morning to eat them.. off season is a different story. but right now I'd probably eat canned dog food if given the chance.

lol.. I don't plan on going that route.. I will cheat Sat night after show and Sunday but Monday I will be back on a lean bulk. Going to stay under 8-10% all year around and still make gains.. cardio is king from what I'm learning.

Bino.. going ok, 2wks left.. Unfortunently dog food isn't in my nutritional plan but that soft-food in a can that I gave my dog looked damn good compared to my breakfast this morning. (1/2 bagel, 6oz chicken + salad.)

    6oz chicken? I would die

haha, no you won't but you will lose a hellava lot of fat if done properly.. BF is currently a touch over 4.5% I believe.

I tried this recipe this morning and gagged the whole way through it. I felt like I was on Fear Factor. I'll stick to good old scrambled with low-fat Mex cheese. It was a nice gesture, though.
