1st Cycle Diet - How many calories?

    Hey everyone,

My stats: no cycles, 5'10", 181lbs, 22 years, 19% BF (pinch test, higher than I thought, not a fat person).

I have all my gear & pct and I am going to start my first cycle (Test E @ 500mgs/wk for 12) as soon as I get my diet under control. My goal for my first cycle is to build mass w/o gaining too much fat. My maintenence intake is about 1900 calories from that math equation in the sticky.

Since I have no experience with this, my question is how many calories should I consume? I do light jogging 3x30mins/week morning + lift 2 days on 1 day off.

I have lots of chicken, tuna, vegetables, egg whites and so on already.

Once I get an idea on how many calories I will post a proposed diet for all to critique.

    Opinions and suggestions please!

    Thanks everyone!

    Brian

First off, your maintainence is not 1900kcals. It's your basal metabolic rate (BMR) most likely.

Secondly, and I know this is not what you want to hear, but you are in no way ready for a cycle. You need to learn how to cut and bulk naturally, learn how to train properly, and build up a solid base long before you ever pick up a needle. And at your bf%, you need to cut. Hope you take this advice to heart, or else you'll be looking like crap in no time.

First, Sorry, 1900 cals is my BMR, thanks.

Thanks for your input buff, but I really do have a solid foundation, I dont know where I said I had little muscle. Why the cutting first? Only fat I have is some around my mid-section.

    well anyway thanks

19%bf at a weight of 181lbs gives you a lean body mass (LBM) of about 147lbs. At your height, that's not what I consider a good base. Far from it in fact.

Ok, I just set a pic to a friend on here and he laughed when I said I was 19% BF and said it was way BS. I'm going to go to someone else to get it tested.

I dont know if the place I get them at is completely correct (24 hour) my gf came out to 17% and she is skin and bones, can see her abs naturally.

Nice camaro buff, you into muscle cars? Thats my passion. PM if you are building one - I can give you some advice with motors or suspension.

you should know your non-cycle bulking/cutting caloric needs before you start a cycle... but good luck eather ways

i would rather add more instead less though..

Well first of all you aren't ready. At those stats I wouldnt consider aas yet. Second of all...you should have a good grasp on diet FAR before you start aas.
