Exclamation can coffee have harmful effects on your diet

I have been studying for an exam I am taking in October for the past couple months and have been consuming 2-3 cups of black coffee regulary (no cream or artificial sugar). Can this have harmful effects on my gains and does it effect my diet in any way?

nah, coffee is great, black that is! Too much caffeine does draw out some calcium from your bones but not much and you can take calc. supp. for that.

    Agree with above.

When cutting I use some sort of caffeine pill, because I hate the taste black coffee.

Just an idea in case you don't really enjoy the coffee.

I know I will get flamed for this. But lets just say you were having ur cup of coffee in the morning with a pro/fat meal. Now having 1 tbsp on cream which would be 18 calories 1.5 grams of fat amd .5 grams of sugar. It technically would fit into the macros for that meal.

I dont se why not. Fat in cream is no worse than fat in cheese or something like that so if it fits with the meal there is no reason to stop.

Yep, I agree Johan. For the 18 calories I'll sacrifice that much more enjoyable cup of joe.

I'm a black coffee drinker, but occasionally, I'll throw a packet of splenda in when I'm craving a little sweetness. But my question is this. Would having a cup of coffee with splenda before A.M. cardio be detrimental? I've always avoided it out of fear that it might blunt lipolysis somehow. I've never determined it one way or another, so I just don't do it. But it'd be nice to have something to look forward to at 5 am other than just cardio, even if it's only a cup of artificially sweetened coffee.

As far as I know coffein promotes release of free fatty acids into the bloodstream so if anything it would promote the fat burning effect of the cardio.

That's what I've read. It's also a mild diuretic, so you'd have to counteract too.

Oh and it stains your teeth.
