I take fish oil primarily because it helps with joints. Flax seed oil is considered a "good fat" which is needed in a good diet. Some of the other guys can explain much better I'm sure.

Intake of Om eg a fatty acids, such as flax/fish, can help to correct altered lipid profiles caused by the use of AAS.

Is it a good thing to take while being on or does it not matter?

It's good to take as a daily supplement. There's also some research that suggests flaxseed oil aids in the suppression of cortisol.

I have good results with 2 tablespoons taken 2-3 times daily. Usually, I drizzle it over a salad or raw veggies. If you do a Google, you'll probably get more info than you can shake a stick at.

one more thing, I noticed you referred to it ad flax fish oil. It's not an animal based oil, it made from the seed of the flax plant.
..and we all are still learning. There's a wealth of knowledge around, you just have to sift through it and qualify it.

i myslef only use flax when dieting, IMO if your bulking eating plenty of other things like steak/PB ect you do not need it. just remember that when you start useing it.
