    the sugars in sweet potatos ?

    do the sugars in sweet potatos effect cutting ? i mean are they simple sugars that should be avoided ?

    sweet potatoes are a complex carb and very low on the GI scale. Fine for cutting if used as part of a well planned diet.

    yes i know there low on the GI scale but they do have sugar in them

    Webb using Pre-Contest....8 weeks out

    I use to eat brown rice.. But i found the rice was making me at bit puffy i switched to yams and feel a bit better

    i cut on yams/sweet potatoes as my only carb source. they work wonderfully.

    aight aight, i get the hint i know there good as a carb source i was just doing some research on Calorie king, and i noticed they had sugars in them, and right now i dont want sugars in my diet.

    100g of sweet potatoe (baked) contains 8.4g of sugar. total carbs are 20.7 grams.

    Yeah..I've asked this question before and got the same type of response. No one seemed to think it was bad. Low GI-sure..but it contains sugar much like fruit..low GI with sugar.

    so sugar none the less ? i mean i love to eat them they keep me full for a long time much fuller than brown rice does

    Yep. I think mine got a few responses. Im actually cooking on right now

    I came to the conclusion that they were fine since I saw that Pinnacle used them pretty much exclusively for his carb source..as well as WEBB..and those are 2 huge dudes that seem to have an idea what theyre doing
