Depends on who you ask and what you want to believe. A pro sucralose website says:
    • No known side effects
    • Not toxic: No adverse effects seen in test animals, even in amounts equivalent in sweetness to 40+ pounds of sugar per day for life
    • No effect on carbohydrate metabolism
    • No effect on short- or long-term blood glucose control or on serum insulin levels: Sucralose is suitable for people with diabetes
    • No calories or carbohydrate: Sucralose is not recognized by the body as a carbohydrate and is not hydrolyzed or otherwise broken down for energy
BUT another website says side effects can include:
    bloating
    a**ominal pain
    gas, sometimes painful
    nausea
    heartburn
    diarrhea
    headaches
    migraines (severe headaches)
    heart palpitations (fluttering, irregular heartbeats)
    shortness of breath
    depression
    anxiety and panic attacks
    spaced-out or drugged sensation
joint pain, especially in the knees
    dizziness

Wow, i always thought that sucralose was the safest of the no-cal sweeteners. I know aspartame can be assosiated with those negative effects because it contains phenalalanine (sp?), but sucralose?

I was very surprised as well. If you type in "sucralose side effects" in google you get all kinds of conflicting information.

don't worry about sucralose. In moderation, as with everything, it's fine.

For someone to experience harmful sides theyd have to be downing about 25,000 diet cokes a day, bro.

Drink it sparingly, obviously a 6-12pack of diet cokes/day isn't a healthy choice.
