Well If you stick with just the fish and rice it wont be that bad. It could actually be a decent Post workout meal. But when you start eating spicy tuna handrolls and other rolls it becomes bad becuase of the sauces that are fat and the spicy part is the mayo. Then you start mixing macros and it becomes one hefty cheat meal. Sushi is my cheat meal every 2 weeks. MmMm

    Last time I crushed
    2 dragon rolls
    2 Rainbow Rolls
1 Spicy Girl Roll (Crazy roll deep fried tempura style with amazing sauces on top)

15 individual pieces (tuna, salmon, red snapper, octopus, ikura, yellow tail)
    and 2 spicy tuna handrolls

I didnt shit for 2 days and felt full for 3.

God why am I such a fatty?!

sushi would be great for a pro/carb meal. Limit yourself to the amount you need for that meal.

I think one cut of fish on top of rice is 3g protein similar to one egg white. So you can eat roughly 12-15 pieces which I think the rice content could equate to around 80-100 which would be good for PWO. Stay away from the black sauce as much as you can as it contains obcene amts of sodium.

Sushi wouldn't be bad during a bulking diet as a SINGLE meal for the day, but as Audis said, limit what you take in, find out the macros and such, and make it for one meal....but if you're cutting, than it'd be a super cheat meal, as it wouldn't be as much of a hit as Taco Hell....mmm...Crunch Wrap supreme....no no no CANNED CHICKEN!

We make our own so we know whats in it. The rice vinegar/sugar solution they use to bind the rice often contains MSG and of course sugar. We just use plain rice vinegar and it works fine.

You can buy a sushi kit and make your own like beast said. And they should sell sushi grade salmon at whole foods if i'm not mistaken.

But if not, i eat sushi about twice a month after a good back or leg day, only cause its my fav food

its easy mate. buy some nori (seaweed wrap) sushi rice, rice vinegar and some salmon/tuna and veg. just cook rice then allow to cool. Mix with rice vinegar. lay out one sheet of nori spread some rice on it. Put some fish and veg in the middle. Roll it up and wet the edge to seal it (like rolling a big cigarette). When there all made fridge them for half hour then cut into rolls. Serve with soy and wasabi and some pickled ginger. Voila
