    Diet Trouble

I went through the stikcy for bulking and downloaded the Harris-Eliott spread sheet. With my stats (200 pounds, 41 age, 6'1 hieght). It says I should consume...

    319 grams of Protein
    319 grams carbs
    71 grams fat
    3200 calories

The example this article gave was a 28 year old 6'0 220 pound guy and he had to consume.

    420 grams of protein
    250 grams of carbs
    83 grams of fat
    3500 Calories

Everything seems to make sense but my carbs seem to be too high. It seems my carbs should be around 180.

What do you think? I'm I missing something?

start @ around 200 grams and tinker up/down on a weekly basis as you see fit.

Just for the hell of it I placed the examples stats in the spread sheet and his carbs should be at 345.

Do you still think I should be around 200?

How should I keep an eye on things. If I gain 2 pounds a week am I right on pace?

2 lbs is very ambitious. Weight/muscle/strength gain normally occurs in a non-linear fashion. In other words, one week you may gain 4lbs and the following week you may gain nothing. I'd increase my carb intake by 25 grams each week til the picture in the mirror starts smiling.
