    So Maltodextrins have a high GI than Dextrose?

    so a PWO shake should be like whey protein, oats, and maybe a banana?

    I do have to say, Ive been using dextrose, and I came to 2 things:
    1. I get a bad crash
    2. Im fatter, or appears to be....bloat

    I read this entire old ass long thread and no one offered their protocol besides Ibd. I think Bino did too..ah & columbus but Im really not cool with eating cereal

    I dunno if I gave my protocol. I have changed it many times. I have tried blending oats with my shake, did it while cutting. But didnt see any advatage. And for people saying dextrose bloats you, well so do oats thats for damn sure. Any grain type carb will tend to bloat you, same as why rice does.
    I have dont no added carbs, just liquid aminos and then a meal soon after.

    Right now I like doing 1:1 ratio carbs to protein.

    I use:
    60g protein
    30g dex
    30g malto
    10g BCAA's
    5g glutamine
    5g arginine


    Seperately but along with the shake:
    1g vit C
    800iu vit E
    500 mg calcium
    glucosamine/chondroitin/MSM


    Then I eat maybe 30min later depending on how hungry I am. Sometimes I will eat almost right after the shake especially if its something really easily digestible like fish. Usually have it with oats.

    This should be a sticky so newbs can see both sides of the story. The current sticks are one sided and should be edited.

    what have you found to be the best precontest pw shake and or meal? IE no bloat, no water retention, etc............

    holy crap im lost , im new, im cutting, im doin 46g pro and 1/2 cup oats PWO.......
    eating 3oz chix breast and 6oz potato bout hr later
    GOOD or BAD? or neither maybe just different but still effective
