    Health Diet

This is kinda off my other post about healthy snacks. And this is no means a bulking or cutting diet. Im just sick off fast food, and fried this, and fried that. lol

    MEAL 1
Protein shake, oatmeal, banana, glass of OJ

    MEAL 2(school snack)
Beef Jerky, apple, 2 handfulls of trail mix

    MEAL 3
3 PPJ's(whole wheat bread, sugar free jam), or chicken

    MEAL 4(PWO)
    Cytogainer

    MEAL 5
Lean Meat Burger, or 2, harvest sun chips

    MEAL 6(bed time snacker)
    yogurt, whole wheat bagel.

    Drink 1.5-2 gals water ED

This should be better than than Jack in the Box, and zebra cakes lol right?

Yes, you're diet may be more healthy than fried and fast food, but its not exactly "healthy" in its own merit.

On that note, I always tell people that they need to listen to their body first and foremost...all the theory in the world will not account for individuality. That said I have not found ANYONE yet who does not benefit from a paleo type scheme.
Dig through the archives, read the books and ALL of the research articles at
    www.thepaleodiet.com
The build and athleticism of H. neanderthalensis makes even modern athletes look like prepubescent kids. After the introduction of grains H. Sapiens lost on average 6" of height which has been regained only in the past century in a few westernized countries.

As an asside a paleo type diet IS expensive...but so are treatments for diabetes, heart disease and cancer. Theis is preventitive medicine we are practicing here! Trail mix, sun chips, protein shakes "supplements", wheat, and sugar-free crap just aint going to cut it. Sorry.

I see, I will check it out.

But yeah, right now, I just need something better than the crap junk Ive been eating...makes me sick.

I should probably go with the book for athletes. So this is the best thing around huh?

    Thanks.

Don't mean to sound harsh but that diet is awful. The only good thing about it is the 2 gallons of water and meal 1. The rest is junk food. You will not grow or even maintain muscle mass with that diet. If your eating to be a BB or powerlifter you need to get prepared to eat some boring shit im afraid. Diet is the most difficult and the most imporetant thing in the whole muscle building process. Go read the diet forum stickies. If you are just into being healthy and dont care about muscle i would still say that diet sucked.

Read one of the stickies (cutting, bulking etc) and create a diet from the sticky.

No no no, I stated above that Im not a body builder, or power lifter...I dont care about bulking diets and cutting diets.

Im doing a military workout, and I just need an overall not bad diet, ie fast food, junk food.

Nothing thats too high in fat, sodium, or chlosterol.

sorry if no one caught that.

Although spoonfeeding just ain't my thing, my fiancee's friend recently asked me to help her out with her diet. This is what I came up with:

    Planning Your Meals.doc

For those of you wondering, I'm concerned with getting people's food choices right first, as I feel this is more important health-wise than the amounts. The amounts come later mostly through trial-and-error.
