Thread: cheat day

    cheat day

    Is I want to do a cutting diet. I work out m-f. Now my off days are sat and sun. Should 1 of those days be a cheat day?? That means just consuming what you want, but not going overboard. Im not talking about eating cookies, candy and ice cream. I will never do that. What should a cheat day consist of? I prob want my cheat day saturday. Do I have to count calories for my cheat day?

    Carb reload. Don't go over maintenance cals. Load up on low GI carbs and limit your fat.

    My cheat meal is often times Chinese Buffet! Amazing after busting my butt and watching my food intake that the day after I have the Chinese buffet is when I see the loss when cutting.

    lol yes but I doubt you could eat as much as me at a buffet
    I could put down probably 2000+ calories in one sitting.

    You might be surprised I can eat a lot, expecially for a girl... I dont pay attention to calories, fats, carbs, or anything like that for my cheat meal. I just eat what I want to as much as I want to. I sure think its funny though getting on the scale the day after the buffet and seeing that I lost some weight!

    My boyfriend never watches his diet (FastFood for breakfast and lunch most days) and he obviously doesnt lose weight. He gets frustrated when I lose weight after we go to the buffet and he of course just gains more. Some people just dont get it!

    lol.. yep all about tricking the body and metabolism, difference is you only cheat every once in a while opposed to others who constantly cheat.. Nice Avi btw, nice shape to your back!

    Legs are key to building a proportioned body IMO.. So many neglect them for some reason.

    I may be from a different school but when I cut, I NEVER cheat....plain and simple. Maybe a bump in clean cals, but all my cheats are conquered during my bulk. I eat clean for 47 meals a week.........but 2 are all out cheats!

    This wekend I am thinking some double stuff oreos (like a box) and a good outback steak DINNER

    If you feel you need one go for it.

    My cheat days consist of pure shit, potatoe chips, icecream, cookies, pizza, burgers, lasagna ect. But then again I more then willingly make the tradeoff to lose a little less fat to enjoy that shit on the cheatday

    Kinda the same way but for 2 meals or so have some pizza and chips then later I'll have some pasta and ice cream whatever I mean it's once a week dammit I want my treats

    I'm more likely to cheat during cutting season mostly because you are less likely to gain fat when you are in a calorie deficit the rest of the week.

    disagree........get all your cheats in during bulking phase.....cutting takes complete 100% focus

    Try at first for a cheat meal. As you progress in your cutting then you may go the route of cheat day. But even then you want to be smart about it and not ruin your progress. As eating pure shit can.

    As you begin to stall out its a good idea to do a carb load. Go about 2k over your maintenance cals and make your meals consist of primarily carbs.

    Bonus, sugar is not only ok but good too, in moderation.
