    carb break down

Do you guys eat carbs all day when bulking?

I eat oats in the morning then i won't eat another carb meal till around 6:00pm as my preworkout carb meal, a PWO carb meal , then sometimes a post post carb meal.

Between 9:00am - 6:00pm i do notice i kind of hit a "low" where i feel really tired and such. Would it be a bad idea to throw in another carb meal ?

    Normal day

    9:30am carb meal

    12:00 protein / fat

    3:00 pro/dat

    6:00 pro carb pre workout

    7-7:30 ish workout

    8-8:30 pro shake / carb

    10:00 pro- carb meal (sometimes)

before bed 11:00-12:00 try and throw in another pro/fat meal.

yes i eat carbs with every meal when im bulking. im not sure how fast your metabolism is but when im bulking i dont worry at all about mixing carbs and fat in the same meal.

i had actually never heard that it was bad to mix carbs and fat until i came to this site earlier this year. i have dieted down before mixing carbs and fat and didnt have a problem at all, if i stopped losing bodyfat i would just cut out a few more calories. it does make some sense though that the insulin could make you store the fat more easily, but i have never seen scientific experiments that show exactly how much better it is.

I got the pro/fat carb/pro from this site as well. Since i have been following this site for over a year now i lived by these rules but was curious to try something else. I didn't know if others felt the same way. I know everyone's body is different. Also reason being i can't seem to add as much weight as i think i should.

Also if anyone else wants to chim in.

With my basic understanding on diet, as long as i eat "long acting" carbs shouldn't that NOT cause a spike so then taking in fat shouldn't be a problem.

Are you talking about eating something like salmon and rice or steak and potatos? If so, you will be fine.

Still depends on the amount of carbs consumed. If it's an excessive amount it can still cause a blood sugar elevation.
