    Predbed meal....I give up!

I've tried it all.....I am trying to put on some mass as lean as possible and I continually wake up at midnight (after crashing about 9:30pm) starving and eating.....granted its veggies, chicken, etc so Im sane about it, but just would love to sleep through. He's my final meal layout HUGE karma if you can assist with what you feel is the best clean before bed meal:

    finishtraining at 615
shake, with cereal, oats, etc = 50g carbs (quick)
then about 45 minutes later I have 1/2 cup oats and about a dozen egg whites, maybe a hlaf scoop pro blend

then about 1.5 hours after, literallly as I lay down, I have 30g of a good protein blend in water.....so it's a lot of cals, just dont know what will hold me over.

There is nothing wrong with waking up at night and eating. Just throw a protein shake in the fridge before you go to sleep or cook off some chicken so its ready to go. Cutler and alot of the pros eat every 2 hours. That means EVERY 2 hours. 2am 4am 6am all through the night.

This happens to my training partner as well. He puts 5oz of steak and a jar of pb by his bed to eat when he wakes. Takes a minute then he's back to bed.

add 10-15g of healthy fat to your pre-bed meal, it will help slow the digestion of the protein so it will be with you longer during the night. and since the fat is digested very slowly you shouldnt store any of it as body fat.

also what protein blend does your pre-bed shake consist of? since it is a shake you probably digest those 120cals very quickly making you wake up from hunger. i would switch your protein source to chicken or tuna because you know that is a good slow digesting source of protein.

another thing you could do is make a shake and set it next to your bed so when you wake up you dont even need to get up, just chug it and go back to sleep.

all natural peanut butter and a casein shake will help for sure.

Go to www.trueprotein.com and get a protein powder that has casein in it (you can design your own blends), or even pure casein. This will help.....oh yea, you can use the discount code: SPD365 for 5% off...they just emailed that to me.

Goal dependant bro, if your cutting you may stay away from CC. the main point here is slow digesting protein and a fat source. What works for one person may not work you or I. You cant commit if one meal is better than the other if they are all acomplishing the same thing. Comes down to goals and bodytype. Some ppl get buffy with dairy others dont. u decide.
