Digestive Aids
Anybody else get gassy or bloated when consuming a lot of carbs? I get most of my carbs from sweet potatoes and oats (raw) and a little from whole wheat pasta. Are any of these known to cause these problems? I'm pretty sure it's these complex carbs because I don't notice it on days where I don't carb up. Anyhow, any digestive aids? I don't want to rely on things like Beano or GasX because I thought they were bad to use long term. Any suggestions, I need them carbs...

i have had this problem before when im bulking. i remember reading somewhere that if you have a lot of undigested food in your stomach and you eat another meal on top of it it will cause a lot of gas and bloating but i dont know. i would love to hear some other members opinions.
it sucks man, you cant show off your abs when your stomach is bloated to hell

No, only sugar i get really is dextrose pwo (24gms), and I don't even take that every day.

I haven't found a way around this. The problem with all the low gi carbs is they all contain so much fiber. A cup of oats has like 7-8g. Yams have 8g for every 6oz. By the time you're through with a good carb up day (400+g) you're looking at 80g+ in fiber.

dude i have a very big problem shitting on my bulking diet. Its i shit 4x a day and they are never smooth, all broken up small shits. Very uncomfortable, and i get in enough fiber so i really dont know what the hell i need to do.
