    cheat meal?

    I am on a cutting diet and go to a buffet on my cheat meal. Needless to say i end up eating well over 2000 calories each time. Is this dangerous. It is not affecting my results in fact i get very vasucular after id o this and for a few days following but is this bad for me healthwise thanks

    cool basically i eat like mad pizza and rice and chicken at this buffet. As well as a pretty large load of dessert so 2000 calories may be giving my self a little leway when realistically it is alot higher. The meal usually makesme tired as hell and makes me sleep but all big meals used ot do that to me anyways. Like i said i get very veiny after these meals in spots i never usually have veins does anyone else experience this. I am following a pretty strict cutting regimen so maybe i am seeing the results of some kind of carb load.h

    Cheat meal would be one sitting one plate etc... Why not try one plate but diffrent "clean choices" i.e going to a steak house, subway, chicken sandwich etc.. etc..

    A buffet IMO is not a cheat meal.. you said your self you eat mad pizza and rice..

    Cheat meal in my eyese one serving of dinner ( your choice and possibly dessert) thats it.

    here is a little tip when it comes to cheating, a cheat meal or two/week is actually beneficial BUT I find certain foods better to cheat w/ than others, and I never eat it until I'm stuffed. For example, if I eat pizza my limit is 3 slices, and I stay away from sugary cheat foods like ice cream and chocolate, stick to pizza, burgers, pancakes w/ low sugar syrup, etc etc. You'll get results so much faster

    Some people can get away with it....I can't. I need a carb load day once a week while cutting. Load up on oats/yams etc.

    I agree with this to a point, if your gonna cheat atleast do it with food that has some kind of decent protein and carbs. Chocolate,ice cream and candy are totally empty calories, they will not benefit the body in anyway.

    if you get all your daily protein, carbs, and fats in 6 full days a week and on the 7th day decide to have a cheat meal and dessert your fine - as long as you had your required macros.

    if your not competing and its a lifestyle approach, i can never understand why people would not enjoy their life and these foods which everyone says are so bad. life is too short. i stay in great condition year round using this diet style (have been for nearly 7 years). last year i was eating a large pizza and ice cream on friday night and then cheating again saturday night and i still had my abs. if your doing everything else right, you'll be fine.

    fill life with living, not worrying about eating 4 bad meals with desert a MONTH. reread that if necessary. out of nearly 50 meals a week, if one is bad your doing ok.

    2000 in one meal.. How can any of you justify this as 'healthy'?

    No doubt! I agree big time. So many bros here actually think that a cheat meal every week is a must for cutting up. I dieted 18 weeks for my show and cheated maybe 2 or 3 times, very small cheat meals too.

    my cheat meals are like subway sandwhiches (healthier ones) or like whole weat pasta and deer meat.....whcih to some would still be considered descent foods. u can definately overkill cheating and it doesnt have to be done very often
