    Simple Carbs PWO

Besides dextrose, what are some good simple carbs for PWO?

    Bananas?
    Other things?

Pre-workout: whey protein, glutamine and maltodextrin powder (complex carb).

Post-workout: simple carb like a banana and another protein shake of course.

I use bagels, rice cakes or bread. Sometimes I'll get some cold cereal and use the protein shake as my milk.

That's not a very good Pre-Workout meal. As the malto will have your blood sugar crashing mid way through your workout.

A slower digesting carb would be a much better bet.

Pasta is considered a simple carb in the dietitian world but it is still a disach. and simple carbs will be best for a post w/o meal.

Id rather have something I can take to the gym.

    What about something like this::
    whey protein/little cytogainer(mainly for complex carbs)/and a bagel with honey(simple carbs)???

How would that sound as a PWO?

how come some people say no just eat oats for pwo with whey protein, and some people say simple carbs instead.....right now I am cutting and I eat a cup of oats and one banana for PWO....is that ok??? or should I just eat simple carbs like a potato, white rice, white pasta, etc....?

The first bold statement is because some ppl experince "Crashes" with high gi carbs.. I.E perfect beast does...

There is no right or wrong. some ppl will respond differently.

BUT to address your question i think you just need one source a banana or oats not both imo.

Just a difference of Opinoin really. Some people think that spikin insulin is the was to go and others don't.

    Both methods work.

Is there soe complex carbs powder you can buy. Cuz Im just gonna get some dextrose, and run simple/complex at 50/50, along with some ON's Whey.
I saw they bag of dextrose, is there a bag of maltodextrins or something?

    Nevermind guys, I found it.

Chocolate chip caramel rice cakes for me. I normally use dextrose because of the slin but i've been on these for awhile now. I'm going to experiment this winter to see if I can still get away with eating them while using slin.
