no lifting or cardio while trying to cut?
long story short went back to school put on about ten pounds with in the last two months was getting ready to start cutting, and then faced an injury which pretty much makes me incapable of any physical activity. my question is since i cant lift or do cardio should i bother to diet in an attempt to lose some fat that i recently put on, or should i just wait until i am fully recovered (approximately 6-8 weeks). thanks for any input.

i would suggest still diet. If your can't lift or preform cardio. The injury seems serious so you need to pretty much eat below maintence calories wise. I;m assuming lets say your bed-ridden or wheel chair. With no physical activity eating your maintence cals will obviously give you fat gain. So i suggest diet.

By eating below maintenance without any physical activity will cause muscle atrophy and the lose of LBM. So I'd suggest an extremely clean diet right at maintenance until you have recovered. I'd eat high protein/moderate carb to help hold muscle tissue.
