    alcohol

This is a little off topic but is there any alchohols that are not produced from grains. For example i have heard that there is potato vodka but this isnt standard as most vodkas are grain products. Is there any drinks out there besides wine that are made from something other then grains i would really appreciate it if anyone could help me with this answer thanks.

Tequila comes from the agave cactus
Absinthe comes from wormwood and some other herbs
    Rum from sugar cane
Sake from rice(still technically a grain)
    Sambuca from the licorice plant
    Amaretto from almonds
    Amarula from the elephant tree
    Triple sec from orange peels
    Kahlua from coffee
    Gin from juniper

I'm sure there's still quite a few more as well that i'm not remembering.

I've done a little bartending in the past back when I used to bounce as well.

You can get it on the shelves up here in canada and in mexico.

I sell liquor for a living...as a sales rep for a distributor. Most of the Absinthe that you get these days is all fake. Yeah it will **** you up, but not like the real shit will.
As far as alcohols not made from grains, there are quite a few. If you are referring to vodka, there are only a handful of potato vodkas on the market. There is a new Australian vodka called Bombora that is made from grapes, as well as a vodka called Ciroc that is also distilled from grapes.
Most U.S. vodkas (90%) are all made from neutral grain sprits produced by 1 of 4 distilleries. Basically, it all comes from the same place.

Many vodkas are made from corn, wheat and rye. Most Russian vodkas are grain vodkas. Vodka can however be made from any fermentable organic material.
