This is a heads up to us forum readers that dont eat the normal meals that have pro/carb/fat included.
This morning I missed my usual vitamin/mineral pak with my PWO shake.Just now I took it with a pro/fat meal and it dawned on me that Ive read that certain vitamins need fat to be eaten at same time in order to absorb them.
I searched online and found out this is true.
(Triglycerides and other lipids (fat) in foods also carry fat-soluble vitamin A ,D, E and K to the small intestine. In doing so, lipids aid in absorption of these nutrients. Without fat you are at risk for developing deficiencies of these vitamins.)
Since many on here utilize lowfat pro/carb meals I just thought it would be wise to make sure to take your micro-nutrients with a pro/fat meal.
