    Aspartame in pwo shake?

Just wondering if aspartame has any effect on your body's recovery after a workout. I buy those "fake" sugar packets and dump about 15 or so in my shakes to make them nice and sweet. MMMM doggy! I've heard both sides of the aspartame agrument, have any recent studies been done to show its effect on humans??

Maybe you should look into ordering some blackmarket sugar from Mexico or Europe. Just be careful, I hear there's alot of bunk sugar going around right now. Just the other day I drank a PepsiOne and it tasted just like the real thing!

yea, it's effects are comparable to smoking cigarettes. slow, but cumulative. anyone saying otherwise is an idiot, as all it takes is a phone call to the FDA and they will admit ALL testing done on this product showed numerous negative health effects. regardless of the doses used during those tests, they were so prominent and so diverse i just personally feel anyone consuming it is as ignorant and/or stupid as a smoker.

mmmm poison! now, make sure you don't recover from your workout by not having any sugar. you trying to see how quickly you can break your muscle down, eh?

there is no "both sides" of the argument. the studies that are being done to show it's negative health effects on humans is being done as you speak, ON THE GENERAL PUBLIC. they don't do human testing, yet the animal testing showed this product to be extremely dangerous. fox5 had done a big story on this whole thing and how corrupt the whole situation was. everyone told the FDA not to approve the product yet it went through anyway, then suddenly one of the higher ups from the FDA a few years later is running things in the aspartame company (searle).

as i said, anyone saying this stuff is safe is just ignorant and/or stupid. i had thoroughly researched this product from numerous credible sources, and even the FDA itself cannot justify releasing this chemical to the general public. as i said, it's just like cigarettes. it's out there, people have been using it for years, but anyone with half a brain knows very well it's doing damage to your body.

i know i may upset some of you anxious to defend aspartame cause you consume it and don't want to stop, but before you try and retaliate here, simply call the FDA yourself as i had. listen to them run around in a circle trying to explain themselves. they made less sense than a monkey ice skating backwards down a blackhole made of pickles. also, realize that your attempts to defend what you're consuming is just as pathetic as cigarette smokers trying to say they're smoking is harmless and that their second hand smoke doesn't affect us. yea, tell that to our clothes that stink when we come home at night from a club, yet that isn't getting into our lungs? cmon people.
