back on the boards and my first question..

hi guys..haven't been on the board for sometime. And well, i've left behind alot of nutritional knowledge back to the teacher i guess. I need some advices on my current diet layout badly. I've always based my diet upon the sticky on top..including contest dieting in the past. And the thing that's bugging me is that i tend to get kinda high on the fat levels during off days (when i just lay around doing nothing). Typically substituting carbs(which obviously i won't need by laying around) with fats such as olive oil, full fat mayo..etc. And the numbers tend to get up to 150-200g of fats with 280g of protein. A typical off day diet consists of carbs in the first meal..and pro/fat for the last 6 meals...i ea 7 meals a day. I was just wondering if this amount of fats is ..erm..unhealthy or excessive for any reason? It just kinda scared me when i realised how much fat i took in...just to get to the expected calorie intake...any advice will be well appreciated. thnks

as long as most of it comes from good fat sources then I dont see there should be any problem. Obviously 150-200g of saturated fat would be unhealthy. If it fits in with your daily cals then you should be ok. I do the same on off days when cutting.

Agreed. As long as it fits into your daily totals I wouldn't worry about it.

Also, if you want to replace a PRO/FAT with a PRO/CARB earlier on in the day I'd say that is fine IMO. Just because your kicking around doesn't mean your body won't use the carbs as energy.

Maybe post your typical off day diet with macros included.

guys, thanks for the replies..my diet basically revolves around the basics of adjusting and taking in certain macros for certain types of activities. An example would be if i'm sitting around..most prob i'll make it a pro/fat..carb/pro would be in the first meal and revolves around workout. I'm super sensitive to carbs..so i woould have to really watch. Calories are roughly between 3000-3500. Thanks again. appreciated!
