    Cutting thread

    In the cutting thread in this forum by rambo .... is rambo saying for a pwo shake use 50g whey, 50g dextrose and 50g maltodextrin? And is it just mixed with water?
    Also meal 6 says just shake is it just whey and how much? 50g?
    I know i've been asking alot of questions that i'm sure are basic for most .... thanks for your patience!

    some of that depends on the individual. if you see that you are not leaning out with 50g of BOTH then you can do 25g of both. the idea is that one is a quick hit of carbs while the other is a LITTLE slower digesting. Personally I like having about 90-100g carbs pwo, but i prefer them coming from food like a bagel or bread or rice cakes.

    yes he is suggesting 50g whey 50g dex 50g malto mixed in water. Water helps speed digestion (compared to milk) which is benficial PWO. Personally I use 50g whey and 80g of waxy maize starch. waxy maize starch is a low gi carb which is absorbed extremely quickly but does not cause bloating or discomfort like dex/malto.

    cool ... thanks for the info ... i think i have my diet down now to what i think it should be ... workiing out all the numbers then im gonna post it for critique ... thanks again!

    i prefer a smaller shake and a larger pwo meal but thats just me.. in most cases- MOST individuals can not absorb even half of their shake that they consume pwo..

    thanks for the advice taiboxa .... but I can't workout till 1030 PM every night .... I have all my meals before my workout and after workout have a pwo shake then a whey before bed .... is it ok to eat a pwo meal that late? It wouldn't be until at least midnight or 1230AM cuz i won't get home till then from the gym .... i'm a little confused about that because i have to workout so late

    lol whey is only in ur system for 45min to an hour.. plus ur blood sugar is CRASHING so ur not in a very anabolic state, if at all, during ur sleep IMO thats BAD ORDEAL

    what i would do pwo is have 25g whey and about 30-45g dextrose. then about 30min later i would eat a WHOLE MEAL w/ good carbs, protein and maybe a lil added fat to slow digestion to sustain BS and produce a more anabolic environment during ur sleep

    ok gotcha ... ill move one of my meals to after workout ... i was eating natural peanut butter with the whey shake at night to aid my anabolic state for sleep .... guess i was way off with that ... my bad .... still learning ..... thanks for the help

    You could also try to get your hands on some casein protein as this type of protein takes very long to digest and is ideal for before bed.

    lol whey protein is already liquid and readily absorbed PB does nothing to slow down digestion since fat is absorbed in the intestines and protein/aminos/carbs are absorbed in the stomache

    u want good fatty meat that has the protein and fat conjoined like in salmon/beef 'n stuff
