Overall Strength and Fitness Increase
I was wondering if anyone might be able to help me design a diet to improve my overall strength and fitness levels. I've gotten back into lifting and excersize since returning from Iraq and I'm not seeing any improvement at all. I've lost about 5 lbs since december but no noticable physical appearance change nor much of an increase in strength or weight during my workouts. I'm more than positive this has to do with my diet... or lack of one. I'm in the military and get my meals from the chow hall (which sucks ass) and therefore end up ordering out a lot. The only thing to cook food with in the barracks is a microwave and we're not allowed to have george foremans or anything like that. (Which I think will be a rule I break anyhow) I can get food from the commisarry and make my own meals but would like to try and keep it as cheap as possible since the army already takes money from me for meals in the chow hall whether or not I eat there or not. I shouldn't have much trouble fitting in the meals. As long as I'm not out in the field I can bring them to work with me or something. I do a lot of cardio but still find myself struggling to run long distances. I'm not really looking to do a total bulk style diet. I want to add strength and stamina and therefor cant really afford to just toss back the calories and not do cardio. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'll post the link to the quick writeup of my workout schedule. Thanks in advance
