Sodium is an essential electrolyte your body needs to replenish itself. The recommended amount one should get during a day is 1500 mg.
Sodium shouldn't cause bloating issues if you are drinking enough water; however, those who need to keep an eye on high blood pressure and the like should watch their intake.
