What do you do to your oats to eat them for quickness I put then in a blender add some water or milk and drink but it is very hard to swallow. I read somewhere on this site about powered oats what are they?

I cook them and add some chocolate whey.![]()
I add the latter for taste versus protein, i get my protein from eggs.
powdered oats. is basically using a coffe grinder to grind up the oats.
Are oats not quick enough already? Takes me 55 seconds to microwave mine in the morning...
did you not read what he wrote? he is having trouble swallowing them raw...Originally Posted by ph34rsh4ck
I use a food proccessor to gring up my oats. Works magic!!! Turns them into a fine powder, I love it!
i put put scoop of protein on top, cook them up for 2 minutes in microwave and then throw some cinnamon.
mm beautiful.
remember grinding the oats will increase GI quite a lot.
How does grinding the oats increase the GI
It is broken down much quicker therefore spiking blood sugar faster.

Isn't chewing them whole doing the same thing but with your mouth instead of a blender? I blend my shit all the time, its the only way I can stay consistent with eating them. I hate bland ass plain cooked oats.Originally Posted by perfectbeast2001
Blending oats in a coffee grinder and throwing them down in a whey shake is 10x faster than cooking them and eating them out of a bowl.Originally Posted by ph34rsh4ck

I won't comment for anyone else, but for me it has more to do with the taste/texture. I used to cook my oats and add equal or splenda all the time. Once I quit using artificial sweeteners I couldn't stomach the bland taste and went to the grinding method. I also have very little time in the morning after doing cardio and showering for work. I'll usually mix the shake after starting the shower and down it in the shower. After I dress I'm ready to roll to work/school.Originally Posted by ph34rsh4ck
