    quit smoking

so i quit 3 weeks ago and have kept everything the same except i don't smoke....it is really possible that in just 3 weeks of quiting all my strengths have went up and i look so vascular and pumped all the time now?....those things were really killing me slowly huh?....anyway i feel so much better and anyone who smokes should stop because the improvements i have seen in just 3 weeks are absolutely amazing and i love it...........

honestly i was gonna try using patch or gum or something but one day i just said **** it im done and i was smoking a pack a day at this time for 2 years....the method that helped me the best to quit was chewing gum i prob chewed like 4 packs a day but it doesnt matter becuase its only gum and i still chew alot, my body didnt reallly ever physically want to smoke that bad but habbit's like when driving and after eating were the hardest part....after the first week and u see how much better u feel and how much better food taste you will realize how amazing it is to not smoke...good luck let me kno how it goesss

Congrats! I gave up smoking and chewing in 1998. It was the hardest thing I have ever done. I used the patch and zyban. Unfortunatly, I wasn't working out at the time, so I gained about 30 lbs overeating. It will become easier everyday and you will continue to feel better! Keep up the great work.

Contratulations on quitting! Great post. I feel ashamed to admit that I fell back into the habit. I know I'd feel better if I stopped. It's crazy. I'm inspired by your resolve though.

I have tried to quit since late 2005. I went for about 2 months straight with out one puff. I started to actually get health problems like swollen lymphnodes and problems due to TMJ ( never did while smoking). I was constantly nasty and wanted a cigarette every minute I was awake. I tried patch, pills, gum, snacks ect ect. None of it worked I have no idea how I will ever fully quit. I smoke about a pack a week

If the cravings get real bad you should give Zyban a try. Not sure but I believe its just sertraline which is also in everyone's favorite antidepressant, Zoloft.

And I took zoloft for a while on my last deployment and it made it so I didn't even want a cigarette. Like, the thought of them kind of disgusted me. Haven't smoked since.

Good Stuff man. Im glad you was able to quit before it got to late. I have been trying to get my mom and dad to stop smoking but they have been smoking for like 50 years. Ill show them that chart and hope it helps. THANKS A TON Ebjack!! I think that might work. Anyways congrats bro

When it comes to zyban you have to be careful cause that stuff can make you feel weird as hell. I cant even discribe how I felt when I was taking it about 2 years ago. It was so bad my boss sent me home from work cause I was to weird. I wouldn't even want to take it while on a cycle. It's also sold as an anti-depressant called wellbutrin. Luckily I was finally able to stop smoking without it. I couldn't stand zyban IMO.
