    Eating late at night

My girl works nights so she gets up at 1pm and goes to sleep at 5 am. She eats around 5pm before work. Well she gets home at 2am and is hungry. I told her its ok for her to eat. Going 15 hours with out food isn't good and will slow her metabolism. Her trainer at Bailey's told her not to eat 3 hours before bed she will get fat. Normally i would agree its not good but she is fasting for too long that has to be worse then eating before bed.

I would have to agree, starving yourself is sending a message and your brain interprets and hence reacts as though food is scarce and consequently causes a metabolic slowdown, a lower RMR. So it really comes down to your daily needed macros, and having them as equally as possible divided throughout the day.

I'd imagine a little bit of lean protien (cottage cheese, small shake) would be fine when she gets back around 2 am.

I got my mom some Designer Whey protien made just for women, a while back and she takes about 14g protien before bed and she has noticed a drop in bf and toned up (not saying your gf needs to or anything). My mom also works nights.

Curious, where does she work that she is unable to eat at her job? Aren't there breaks/lunch time, etc, that she can squeeze in more food, going 12+ hours no food is insane.
