I eat prunes w/ splenda. Prunes have an extremely low GI, and with a little splenda they taste pretty good.

I wouldnt eat much during show prep, but if I would/could id incorporate some type of citrus fruit around training time, I currently eat alot of grapefruit cause of vit C (which helps with recovery and also fat loss) plus some say grapefruit is a natural thermogenic ( I think that it might be but not enough to make a diff.)

watch out as grapefruit can speed the delivery of drugs including orals.

I wouldn't know for contest prep, bro. But, blackberries not only taste great, but are very high in fibre...all in all, a great healthy fruit.
