Post Workout Meals...
hey guys just tryin to get some various post workouts instead of my normal routine. wondering what would be a good meal right after cardio (at night) and a good meal right after weightraining (at night). Im on a bulker so i nomally have a quick carb like gatorade immedietly after training, followed by rice or pasta with a protein shake and of course a full high protein dinner an hour later. also should my post workout meal consist of cleaner carbs if i plan on getting leaner?

my pwo meal is practically the same..
and i never do a shake.. pointless to me.. never done anything special..
i usually have a chickn burrito kinda thing..
usually a small jalapeno wrap.. bout 22 carbs
fat free refried beans bout 6g Protein 6g Fiber 26g Carbs
1/2 small avacado
1tbl of fat free sour cream
1 big can o chikn 65g protein ruffly
some picante sause.. someting like that
or on low carb days i have an eggwhite pancake
1/4cup of oats put into food processor to chop up real fine..
put w/ bout 60g protein of eggwhites and 1 whole egg.. some splenda and cinnamon.. whip it up into a batter and cook it like a giant pancake and put sugar free syrup on it..
basically thats it for me

PPwo meal consists of pretty much the same shit every night. 2-3 chicken cutlets sprinkled with montreal steak seasoning and put on the Foreman grill. 3/4 cup (uncooked) brown rice in the mic and 3/4 cup of a veggy.
I may substitute the chicken for Salmon since its summer and easy to grill or steak during the week. All takes 8 minutes and good to go.

IMO Fish is the best PWO whole food. When it comes to meat proteins and not egg whites fish is very easily digested by your body and gives you a quicker release of amino's. That is if its a white fish and not something fattier like salmon.
I eat fish before and after every workout. Tilapia is good and herring is really good as well. Herring is a bit slower digesting but has pretty much the highest creatine content of any meat. So you dont need to supplement with any extra creatine.
I usually eat it with oatmeal and jam before workout and oatmeal after or maybe a yam. Oats to me are the best carb source.
