    Adjusting calories to cut

How do you guys adjust your calories from a bulk diet to a cut diet do you reduce the calories by 100 a day, takeaway 500 a week. Also what would happen if you just went straight to low calories e.g went from 4000 then the next day you ate 2000 how would that effect the body by dramatically decreasing the calories like that.

Im guessing you would probably start eating away at your muscles from the sudden shock to your body,, just a guess,, if you know how much it takes you to gain,... why not simply reduce the total calories by like 500 evry few days untill you start seeing weight loss,,, just a thought

This should not be a difficult question.

How did you learn how many kCals you needed to bulk? If you did it right then you should know how to start a cutting run.

If my kCals need to be lets say 4000 to maintain, i would increase by 500kcals or so and keep bumping them as needed.

If i were going to cut, i would decrease by 200kcals and drop them 200+ every week or two or as needed.

A drastic drop in calories will leave you with no room to manipulate your diet when you plateau.
