That it contains small amounts of arsenic. Would that mean that brown pasta would also contain it.

Sweet potatoes are quite a bit higher in carbs than the rice is. Are you all eating the yams before a workout? If not, is it that big of a deal to substitute for the rice in almost any meal?

Yah, I am eating yams an hour pre workout.

Yams and sweet taters are only higher in carbs if you eat more than the proportionally comparable amount....That is, if the proportions are the same & it "fits" into your daily kcals and macro nutrients, it is no big deal at all to sub.

It's all about timing my friends...yes, b.rice is bad for you if you eat it too much, it can make your body store too many carbs which in time can turn to fat. Try to avoid it 4 hours before bedtime, it is a complex and slow digestiing carb, so any rice left undigested has a greater chance of being converted to fat ***osits in the body.
