    Pumpernickel Bread???

    Hey bros I have a question. Could you subsitute pumpernickel bread for whole wheat bread in your diet. Pumpernickel is lower on the GI scale and not too far off from wheat Bread on the Macros....

    100% Whole Wheat Cals Carbs Pro Fat Sugars Fiber
    110 20 4 2 3 3

    PumperNickel 80 15 3 1 1 1



    So basically Pumpernickel has less cals, carbs, fat, sugars and is close in protein and the Fiber doesnt make up the 5 carb difference if you talking about net carbs......Just wondering if there is a reason Wheat Bread is used so much more?

    i would say ww bread is slower burning and digesting therefore keeping u fool longer and burning slower for energy reasons... maybe i am not on 100% but pretty close.. i personlly dont like the way whole wheat taste. id rather eat some french bread or something like that anyday of the week..
