    PWO carb question

Got a question regarding carbs in my PWO shake.

Reading just about everywhere i have found that the general rule is 40g or so protein and double that in carbs 50% dextrose and 50% maltodextrin. I have been taking my PWO shake with 40g protein and 80g carbs but I just noticed the carbs im using to mix into my shake dont mention being dextrose or maltodextrin. It just says pure complex carbs.

My question is, am i using the wrong type of carb mix in my PWO shake? If i am, are there any downsides to using just pure complex carbs instead?

Im a bit confused... thanks for the help in advance.

Maltodextrin is pure complex carbs so sure its fine. You can use whatever you want, dont even have to have a shake at all. Can just eat.

Ive been using 1 scoop meal replacement , 1 scoop whey, mixed with gatorade. Trainer swore by the mix so ive been trying it and it seems to stop me from crashing after working out too.

Gives you instant spike with 50g protien and 80g carbs
