    dry oatmeal

I got sick of cooking my oats in the morning. It takes to long and theres dishes and a pan to clean to boot. I just been putting it in a measuring cup and eating it dry with a glass of water to wash it down. After doing this for about 2 months now I cant believe how much time I used to waste before, besides I just eat it when I mix my egg whites up. all my friends and co workers say what the hell ya doin that for thats gross. I cant be the only one who eats em like this. right? It just dont make sense to cook em to me.

I eat them dry all the time, bro. Boiling takes too long and I'm not a big fan of microwaves...I toss in some cinnamon and banana, mush it up with a splash of the liquid egg whites I'm cooking and enjoy!

Go to the store and buy yourself a coffee grinder (under $20). Put the grinds you make in your protein shake (if you drink them). You can add other ingredients such as raw almonds or walnuts to boost the flavor and nutritional values.

No chewing required. Minimal dishes to contend with.

Mix up dry oats, honey, and peanutbutter to eat before I step on stage but I like them cooked regularly.

Just to note, grinding them up raises the GI index by a great amount.

I've been eating them dry for past 8 months or so.... but I'm so burnt out on them now that I just went back to cooking.

Once school starts though its back to dry oats day in day out.... I just don't know of any other carb that is as convenient.

I can't eat my oats any other way but dry. I don't like the taste of warm wet oats. Yuck.

I toss 1 cup Oats, 6 strawberries, 1 cup water, and 1 scoop protein mix into blender (just to mix, not to chop up), and drink it, really good, And I found that way of making it here on the forums,

Can you just put them in the mixer without grinding them?

I used to cook it but also use to eat it cold , so now I just take it raw or I'll pour milk over it.

get some flavored protein powder and mix it with the water and then add oatmeal it's kind of like cereal and milk.

I don't eat them dry, but I do eat them raw. Throw in some water and whey and it's good to go in about 20 seconds.

ive done that but why not just toss some water in a bowl with it and toss them in the microwave for a minute and a half add a couple packs of splenda and you are good to go. getting hungry just thinking about it

I also drink mine raw. Its an acquired taste, but you will get used to it. As far as grinding them up in a coffee grinder I tried that once and they came out all gritty, I could barley get them down. It was like drinking sand.
