identifying 'good' carbs
when looking at packaging and finding new sources of good carbs, what else should one look for besides just a low sugar content?
Here's an example - a cereal has:
total carb - 40
Sol fiber - 1
Insol fiber - 5
Sugars - 0
As long as the sugar count is low, I assume the rest of the carbs (minus the fiber) are a good low GI index source.. Is that a reasonable assumption? Is there anything else to look for?
thanks

don't touch anything manmade, that's my rule
veggies, oats, wheat breads etc are all great carbs, even though the cereal may be low sugar the carbs may not be natural

Avoid white flour, sugar, white rice... anything stripped down like that. The post workout shake is the only place for simple carbs.
Veggies, grains, brown rice, oatmeal, beans and that sort of thing are the carbs to take it.
