How long do protein shakes last when made

Do pro shakes have to be consumed immediately when made or can they last for a few hours until you have it.

As long as its kept cool, they should last for a while. If you make it and leave it at room temp, as I have done many times, I think that 2-3 hours is okay. I do know that heat is bad and Ive seen jello from leaving a shake in the sun or a hot car.

Absolutely!
Because of there inherent protein base (more similar to milk that meat, cheese, beans, nuts, etc.) one should observe milk similar rules. That is not to say that can stay in the fridge as long as milk (based on expiration of course), because of the shorter degradation lives of the added ingredients.
